Motor Vehicle Accidents

In Pennsylvania, motor vehicle accidents are governed by the state’s no-fault system. By law, the insurance company for each driver covers his or her medical expenses for any injuries caused by the accident as well as lost wages, regardless of who is at fault.

But if your injuries are serious, you can file a lawsuit (outside the no-fault system) against the driver who caused the accident. In these circumstances, you can make a claim for pain and suffering and other non-economic damages that you would not be entitled to under the no-fault system.

Our lawyers handle accident cases involving all types of vehicles including cars, motorcycles, trucks, and others.

How We Help You

Proper diagnosis and treatment are essential.

The injured person must be examined immediately and treated, if necessary. Later, if you or your family member wants a new physician or a second opinion, let us know. We can refer you to a medical provider whom we know to be highly competent and trustworthy.

Insurance companies act in their own best interests. We are on your side. Contact us immediately.

We work for you to obtain justice and compensation for injuries and other losses by holding the culpable parties—and their insurers—accountable. Insurers and their adjusters try to keep payouts as low as possible and avoid lawsuits. They do not act in your best interests. Contact us to find out whether you have grounds for a lawsuit before you speak to an insurer.

We evaluate your case promptly so you know the status.

Because we’re experienced at handling auto accident cases and understand both the medical and legal issues, we can review your case quickly and efficiently. If your case is right for us, we’ll proceed with a full evaluation of the facts, medical record, and legal issues, and determine the likelihood of a fair settlement or need to file a lawsuit. We’ll keep you apprised of all developments and advise you on the range of possible outcomes so you can make informed decisions.

Because a monetary award will substantially impact your life, we put our negotiation and trial skills and experience to work.

We’re experienced negotiators, so you can depend on us to negotiate the best possible settlement for you. If the parties can’t agree on an amount, we’re prepared to file a lawsuit and aggressively try your case in the courtroom. And we have a proven track record of securing winning verdicts and other favorable resolutions in motor vehicle accident cases.

You can count on our human connection with you as well as our legal representation.

Every day, we witness the devastation that victims and their families experience following a motor vehicle accident. Injuries often are life-changing and can severely impact mobility, cognitive function, daily activities, and the ability to work. We help clients in emotionally challenging circumstances by being approachable, supportive, and authentic. Our empathy and compassion make us better lawyers, too.
